China’s mutual visa exemption policy: content and details
In the previous article, we mentioned China’s four visa exemption policies. Today, let’s focus on the mutual visa exemption policy.
1. Mutual visa exemption
Citizens of China and certain countries can enter each other’s country without a visa, and the stay period and entry conditions are usually equal.
Reasons for entry: tourism, business, visiting relatives, short-term medical treatment, international transit, etc. (excluding work and study)
2. Covered countries (latest date: 26)
Asia: Thailand, Singapore, Maldives, Kazakhstan, UAE, Qatar, Armenia, Georgia (8)
Europe: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, San Marino (5)
Africa: Mauritius, Seychelles (2)
Oceania: Fiji, Tonga, Solomon Islands (3)
North America: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahamas, Dominica, Grenada (5)
South America: Suriname (1)
Countries to be implemented: Samoa, Uzbekistan (2)
3. Scope of activities and duration of stay
Scope of activities: 31 provinces and cities, excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan (need to comply with local entry policies). Entry to Tibet and Xinjiang requires advance application.
Duration of stay: Single entry stay is no more than 30 days, and no more than 90 days in total every 180 days
4. Notes
No need to apply in advance, enter directly with your passport.
Within the 26 countries mentioned above.
The passport validity period covers the end of the stay period, and it is recommended to be at least three months.
