Among the four types of visa-free policies, the specific area visa-free policy covers a wide range and has a long stay.
1. Specific area visa-free
The specific area visa-free policy is also called the regional entry visa-free policy.
It is limited to landing and visa-free in specific areas of China, and the scope of activities is also limited to specific areas.
2. Types of specific area visa-free policies
In general, there are 6 types of specific area visa-free policies
2.1 30-day visa-free policy for people from 59 countries entering Hainan
People from 59 countries holding ordinary passports enter Hainan without a visa.
Entry reasons: tourism, trade, visits, visiting relatives, medical treatment, exhibitions, sports competitions and other short-term reasons for coming to China (except for work and study)

2.1.2 Scope of activities and duration of stay
Scope of activities: Administrative area of Hainan Province
Entry and exit ports: All ports open to the outside world in Hainan
Duration of stay: No more than 30 days, starting from 0:00 the next day of entry, and staying continuously until 24:00 on the 30th natural day.
2.1.3 Notes
No need to apply in advance, enter directly with your passport.
Within the 59 countries mentioned above.
The validity period of the passport covers the end of the stay period, and it is recommended to be at least three months.
Activities are limited to the Hainan area.
2.2 Visa-free policy for foreign tour groups entering by cruise ship
Foreign tour groups taking cruise ships, holding passports, and organized and received by travel agencies in China, can enter from cruise ports in specific 13 Chinese cities without a visa.
2.2.1 Covered countries
All 183 countries that have established diplomatic relations with China.
2.2.2 Scope of activities, duration of stay, and entry and exit cruise cities
Scope of activities: Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan (11 coastal provinces and cities)
Duration of stay: no more than 15 days
Entry and exit cruise cities: Tianjin, Dalian, Liaoning, Shanghai, Lianyungang, Jiangsu, Wenzhou and Zhoushan, Zhejiang, Xiamen, Fujian, Qingdao, Shandong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Guangdong, Beihai, Guangxi, Haikou and Sanya, Hainan (cruise ports in 13 cities)

The tour group needs to enter and exit the country as a whole group
The tour group must go to the next port with the same cruise until the cruise leaves the country.
The number of foreign tour groups is 2 or more
Foreign tour groups must be organized and received by travel agencies in China.
2.3 Visa-free policy for ASEAN tourist groups entering Xishuangbanna, Yunnan
Thirteen ASEAN countries, passport holders, who are received by travel agencies in China and enter through three ports in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, can enjoy visa-free entry

10 ASEAN countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia
2.3.2 Scope of activities, duration of stay, entry and exit ports
Scope of activities: Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province
Duration of stay: no more than 6 days
Entry and exit ports: Xishuangbanna Gasa International Airport Port, Mohan Railway Port, Mohan Highway Port

Tour groups need to enter and exit the country as a whole group
Must be organized and received by travel agencies in China
The number of foreign tour groups is 2 or more
2.4 Visa-free policy for ASEAN tour groups entering Guilin, Guangxi
Ten ASEAN countries, passport holders, who are organized and received by travel agencies in China and enter from Guilin Airport Port in Guangxi, can be exempted from visas.
2.4.1 Visa-free countries
10 ASEAN countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia
2.4.2 Scope of activities, duration of stay, entry and exit ports
Scope of activities: Administrative area of Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
Duration of stay: no more than 6 days
Entry and exit ports: Guilin Airport Port, Guangxi

Tour groups need to enter and exit as a whole group
Must be organized and received by travel agencies in China
The number of foreign tour groups is 2 or more
2.5 Visa-free policy for foreign tour groups entering Guangdong from Hong Kong and Macao
Citizens of countries that have established diplomatic relations with China, holding ordinary passports, can be exempted from visas after arriving in Hong Kong and Macao and being organized and received by local tour groups and travel agencies.
2.5.1 Visa-free countries
183 countries that have established diplomatic relations with China
2.5.2 Scope of activities, duration of stay, entry and exit ports
Scope of activities: 10 cities in Guangdong Province. Including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Shantou.
Duration of stay: no more than 6 days
Entry and exit ports: open ports in the above 10 cities.

The tour group needs to enter and exit the country as a whole group
Must be organized and received by a travel agency registered in Hong Kong and Macao
The number of people in the tour group must be 2 or more
2.6 Visa-free policy for foreign tour groups from Hong Kong and Macao to enter Hainan
Citizens of countries that have established diplomatic relations with China, holding ordinary passports, can be exempted from visas after arriving in Hong Kong and Macao and being organized and received by local tour groups and travel agencies.
